Welcome to Hyena In Petticoats!
I like to think of this shop as a bit of a friendly stash raid - a pot of tea, a bunch of friends, and a massive pile of fabric and goodies up for grabs....
Many of the fabrics listed in this store are part of my own personal collection. I have been an avid collector of vintage and new fabrics, as well as notions, housewares, linens and clothing, for the past ten years.
Alas, my house is small, and storage is limited, and it's come time to share some of my fabrics around and make some room for new stuff..... lucky you!
Here in the store you will find new and vintage fabrics, notions and trims for sale, as well as my own handmade toys, and a few vintage bits and pieces as well; linens, aprons, clothes, shoes and homewares.
All fabrics are priced and cut by the decimal metre (100 cm) unless otherwise specified.
All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD).

Please read the descriptions carefully, as they will contain notes on condition; some of these items have been stored for many years, and may not be in perfect condition - I will however do my very best to point out any flaws or faults.
Some of the vintage fabrics are stated as being in 'unwashed' condition - this doesn't mean stinky! I keep vintage fabrics unwashed to preserve the original 'hand' or feel of the fabric - there may be a slight musty smell due to storage, but nothing a trip to your own washing machine won't fix! All fabrics are kept in my pet and smoke free home.
Shipping and Handling
Shipping prices are standardised through the checkout system, and I try very hard to keep shipping prices as close as possible to the actual price. However, International shipping is never as easy as we'd like it to be, so if there is a sizable difference in the real cost of your shipping, I'll refund the difference back into your PayPal account.
I don't charge handling for my products, though if there is a an extra dollar here and there, that money helps me to pay for packaging, etc, so please be understanding! If you have any concerns about shipping costs, please feel free to contact me before you make your payment, and I'd be happy to provide an actual shipping cost for your destination.
